ASMG 2026

Bangkok, Thailand - The 6th ASEAN Gastroenterology International Conference (ASEAN Gastro 2026) was held from 23 to 25 October 2026 at the Grande Centre Point Lumphini, Bangkok. Organized by the ASEAN Stomach and Microbiota Study Group (ASMG), the meeting brought together clinicians, scientists and emerging researchers from across the region and beyond for three days of scientific exchange, and concluded with great success.

Transforming Gastroenterology through Innovation, Technology, and Global Collaboration

The scientific programme explored how artificial intelligence, precision medicine, emerging technologies, data-driven diagnostics, innovative therapies and microbiome science are transforming clinical practice worldwide. Sessions covered H. pylori management and gastric cancer in the ASMG and HSI joint meeting, acid-related disorders, disorders of gut-brain interaction, and the work of the ASEAN Gastroenterology Network.

Young GI Leaders, outstanding posters and a growing regional network

The conference also recognised the next generation of the field through the Young GI Leaders 2026 programme, outstanding posters selected for oral presentation, and the late-breaking abstract award, with awardees from Vietnam, Taiwan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Bahrain. The organizing committee thanks every speaker, participant, sponsor and partner who contributed to the success of the meeting, and looks forward to welcoming everyone again at ASMG 2027.
